Custom Lower Links

After seeing the lower links being built and how small the factory links are we were inspired to try something a little bit different. These are built with 1.5" .120 DOM with a 1.750" .120 over sleeve. With a little flare. We also opted for the Summit Machine Flex Joint on one end of the link and OE bushings on the other. The nice thing about the Flex Joint is it's rebuildable. Only time will tell.

See the link above. They make 4 sizes (small, medium, large, x-large)
these are the large. They are the perfect size and don't require any modifications to the factory mount. The uppers would use the medium size joint. Uppers will be made next.

For clarification, are you saying these are direct replacement for the stock 3rd gen lowers?

Also, I don't see how to price what you've shown based on the components listed on their site. Do you know what the cost is of the complete lower you're showing?
 
The joints fit in the OE mount without modification or spacers. The links as pictured are a direct replacement. The flex joint (on one end only) is from Summit Machine the rest is custom with exception to the opposite end which is the factory end link sleeve and bushing. If you want a price on what's pictured they have to be custom made and you can PM PATCO for pricing.
 
I forgot to mention on the list that they are unpainted. They can easily be spray painted. I can have them powder coated, but doing one set at a time is expensive!
 
looks good. The only deal is the tubing. I bent my 1.5" .250 wall DOM lowers..... Im sure yours will be harder to bend that the stockers which are about 1.25 .120 seamed tubing.

The design looks real good though

These are technically 1.750" .240 wall DOM. I'm sure the windows make them a tad weaker than being completely over sleeved. If I bend these then I must have been wheelin with you, Brian and Jay!

1.750" is about the largest diameter tube you can use with the summit flex joint without it looking goofy. I guess you could have 1.750" over sleeved with something larger? We'll see.

What did these links start off as? These remind me alot of the Rubicon Express/ Sonoran Steel links I sold Maclean.

Well I guess that means we better go wheelin then and see if we can't bend em up!! They look really nice BTW!
 
Those look really good, but I have a (probably stupid) question.

Why do the over-sleeves have so much material cut off them? Almost half of the diameter for the entire length has been cut away. Wouldn't they be much stronger without the cutouts? You know, like if they were a full tube the whole length?
