Looks amazing! I can't understand how some of the guys on this forum build some of these amazing projects. I guess, learning to weld would get me one step closer
Thanks a ton! They're about an inch and a half away. It's reinforced to the bumper so it won't really flex. Got that idea from the trail gear bumper for this gen. I'm definitely not a professional welder though. This was my first big welding project. Got better as I went along. A lot of fun putting this together.bumper looks great!
how close are the wings to the body? any rubbing while flexing?
I just started with the bar that goes across the back and built from there. I had to change my design halfway through because I wanted to include the tire carrier. From there it was build as I went along. I took things from other designs that I've seen that I liked and tweaked them a little to what I wanted. It took longer than expected because of all the changes but it finally got finished. All that's left is to wire the license plate light and it's done.Where did you get the design? Did you draw up the plans yourself or use a template? I'm just wondering about how you went about starting and planning this project.
AtoZ FabricationWhere were you able to find a hinge that strong, and that latch as well?
