My dad was driving my sister's car on the interstate where it cut out and died. I jumped to the most obvious thing first and noted that the fuel pump was not cutting on when the key was turned over. I have a few questions about diagnostics for this thing, I am not a Toyota man.
The "ECM" relay under the dash clicks when the key is turned over. Does this send the signal to the FP or is there another relay that should be doing this? Where are the wires that go to the FP? Is there a port under the rear passenger seat where I can get to them or do I have to drop the tank just to put a multimeter on it?
I have found in my internet research that the starter circuit can cause FP problems, how can I rule this out?
