Cutting Exhaust Pipe for a Deleted Look

I got mine routed out through my rear bumper. Pic attached shows. Little more intense than most would do on here but just proposing new ideas!

I crunched mine pretty good, so I cut off the tip. Without the slight downward slope, the exhaust melted the plastic on my bumper. Should have cut it farther up like some of you guys.

May help if you cut it at 45° instead of straight.

I agree, that probably would have helped initially. But it stopped melting after the first couple of drives, so I haven't adjusted anything.

I cut the downturn off to install some recovery points.
Angeled cut just behind the hanger so it is still supported

Pinched mine shut as well, did the same thing with a screwdriver and vise grips. Anyone have experience with gaining better clearance with the side exit behind the right tire like the TRD exhaust?

Considering upgrading my exhaust to boot; would love some $.02 without getting too off topic on this thread if anyone minds?

Cutting it at an angle didn't help. Mine melted too, lol.
Not quite as bad as yours, so far.
I may see if I can find a downturn tip.
Then trim/clean the melted plastic. Fortunately all mine is on the underside.

Just to update cut at the down turn behind the axle. Zero issues over the last year. Nice and tucked away.

i'll have to take some. But, I cut after it bends down after the axle and before it makes another curve.

Just for the record, the TRD exhaust with the side exit is not the solution either. I crunched mine dropping a ledge on Imogene pretty badly and I think maybe bent the pipe a bit also (seems to vibrate on something periodically on start up).

I think the new Magnaflow Overland exhaust may be in my future...
