CV axle replacement done, couple questions

A couple months ago I noticed the inner boot on my drivers side CV axle was torn and flinging grease out. I pumped a bunch of grease into it to keep it lubricated until I could get to this this past weekend. It wasn't making any noise, the bearings move freely and even when I pulled it apart there was still grease inside the joint so I think it'll be fine if I just reboot it and then I'll have a spare CV axle available if I need it. Does anyone see a problem with that?

Also does anyone have any recommendations for a boot kit? I don't have a problem paying $40-50 but any more than that and I might as well get a replacement axle.

The replacement axle I got was a Duralast Gold from Autozone. I ordered it online and got it for about $70. Unfortunately, when I went to install the new axle, there was a small tear on one of the boots already. Luckily the local store had one in stock and I was able to swap it out so everyone be sure to inspect supposedly "new" axles before installing them.

Keep the original OEM axle. You will need it at some point later. I have gone through numerous Autozone axles with my Honda Accord. Although you get a lifetime warranty it gets annoying and time consuming after you replace them a few times. The aftermarket axles are not the same quality as the OEM and they will wear out faster.

Rebooted my torn stock CVs from SDHQ Off Road has worked great no problems

I've rebooted with Beck Arnley brand boot kits from Rock Auto for $11 and some change. Comes with grease, retaining rings, and clamps (although I chuck those for the marine style worm drives).
