I'm about to replace my CV axle this weekend and I've been reading threads all over this forum and watching videos. I'm hoping it's as easy as it looks but I have two questions that I keep getting mixed info on.
1) Do I have to drain the diff fluid to replace the axle? it seems that I can just put back in any fluid that comes out when I remove the axle, but I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. And those diff bolts sound like they can be a huge pain.
2) Is the axle socket nut 35mm on 4th gens (2007)? That seems to be the consensus but I want to make sure so I don't pop my wheel off and then realize I'm headed back to the store.
