The specifics of my lift are irrelevant in my response to your initial statement. According to you, since I have lift I will have to fix my boots. I was just letting you know, based on your parameters, your conclusion is flawed.

The drop kit I ordered from ToyTec did. I didn't have to use them and have since pulled the diff drop out. It does not provide enough drop to risk the pinion bearing running dry. The front pinion bearing sits in an oil bath where the rear is essentially fed oil.

What a differential drop does is partially corrects the front CV shaft angle if you have lifted your truck a couple inches...
Their not imperative but in long term, they will prolong the life of your CV's.
And no bickering. Holy ****. Help people out or go buy a punching bag.

Going wheeling for the first time in MY 4runner this weekend really looking forward to it!

yeah thanks for the replies, it makes me feel a little more confident about driving around. I too have the diff drop on mine, I was browsing some pics and saw someone had a lift where their fins weren't even touching. I looked again and realized it was a 4th gen so i guess that could make a difference. But that's why I posted here to see what other peoples looked like after a diff drop and lift.
