So, I have torn CV boots on each side. After looking on line for replacement boots, I came across units from Autozone. They are the Duralast Gold units. They have a Lifetime warranty.
Does anyone have any experience with these Autozone Duralast units? Im looking for input on replacement units vs rebuilding and rebooting? Im open to other brands as well. By the way, I have 125k on these OEM units without any issues.

just reboot it, you know for sure you will not have any problems. I have no clue about which boot kit is good since my cv boot is still good though. All I did before is injected more grease in it when it started leaking and replaced the clamp. all is good so far.

I have three of the duralast gold cvs. two in my 4runner and one in my GX470. they work fine. my last cv is leaking on my wifes GX470. but this timme I think I will try to boot it. Got a boot kit from amazon for $15.

Comes with boots, grease, and clamps.
I used different clamps..check out my build thread for the specs of the clamps.
I rebooted both of my OEM CVs a few weeks ago.
I decided to reboot with OEM so: I didn't have to worry about aftermarket fitment, some people have issues with the front differential oil seals leaking with aftermarket CV shafts.
Also, I caught my boot tear right away, so I knew the inside wasn't ran dry.
With rebooting you don't even have to pull the CV out of the differential, also no loss of diff. oil.

Basically it comes down to what you're doing.

The non-Toyota/CVJ stuff seems to be best for those who are mainly on-road driving and occasionally off-roading.

The guys who wheel their 4Runners hard seem to have more failures with non-Toyota/CVJ axles and are the ones who really stand by either rebooting, buying new factory axles or CVJ units.

My initial plan was to reboot both sides, including breaking down, inspecting, repacking and reassembly. Yet after further review, it appears for about the same cost and much less labor, I can replace both cvj's.
I am one of those who wheels often and hard.
Within the next year or so, I will be updating my chassis package in favor of either the Camburg, or TC long travel kits. The thing about those kits is they both require the new longer shafts. If I replace both cvj's, I plan on keeping the OEM units so they can be used with the long travel kits.

Can't help you with the Duralast. However, FWIW, visually, the new (not reman) NAPA unit (made by Cardone, according to in-box warranty card) I purchased last year was indistinguisable from the OE axle I replaced. Obviously I can't vouch for the metallurgy or what's inside the boots where the real action is, but it's not out of the realm of possibility to think Cardone is sourcing from the same manufacturer that Toyota uses. Like the Duralast, the NAPA comes with a lifetime warranty. They also offer an axle with a heavier duty boot, but it didn't seem to be in stock anywhere back when I needed it. Just my .02.

Just put the NAPA new axles on my 2008 last Friday. They seem like good axles. But like the previous post can't vouch for the metallurgy. I do not have a lift just stock suspension. Time will tell on the durability.

When you say they bind, how and when are they binding? If they are an exact fit, there shouldnt be any bind. Can you elaborate please?

Durlast Gold are ok, just go with the new and not the reman. I went threw about 3 remans because of vibration and leaking around the seal. I have dealt with Napa on some products and they used to have a great reputation but lately the parts are not holding up as well unless you go with the upper brand. I just replaced mine with Import direct (new) ones from Oreilly's and so far as good, no vibration and no leaking. Looking back I wish I would have saved my OE axles even with 125k on them and just have them rebuilt, but you have to have something while you are rebuilding them so...good luck.

If you have the OEM axles I'd go with the OEM boot kit from Toyota. As stated already, you can actually leave one part of the axle still inserted into the diff but then will need to lay under the vehicle for installing the clamp on that end of the axle.

I did a re-boot of a non OEM axle and I wasn't able to get the fitment very tight using the band clamps that were provided. It wasn't the clamp's fault but the fitment of the boot over the non OEM axle itself, at the diff end. I bet these clamps are perfect if your have OEM axles and using the OEM boot kit. But, I must have non OEM axles so I'll do the McMaster Carr large hose clamp route.

Just for S&G, I took apart a brand new Autozone CV axle and found out that they use a mint color grease!

OEM remann'd

I replaced mine with OEM remann'd from the dealer. They were about $300 for both. There was a $50 core refund on each but I decided to keep my originals to re-boot (still haven't had time to get the parts and do it, we moved recently). Anyway, only one inner boot had torn, so I swapped both and I had caught the tear in a day and had them changed within a week, so I know the joint didn't get messed up.

If you decide to go this route, see if your local dealer has online parts sales. Mine did and that price was lower than what was quoted at the desk. Since then I have received discounted pricing at the parts counter. Don't know if it's just because I'm a regular, or if my online order triggered something that pricing. Another option is look into Village Toyota (in Northern Fl, I think), they have good online prices. EX: I had to get rear brake anti-rattle shims and my local dealer could only get them for me for somewhere near $40, but Village Toyota had them for ~$17 ea. and total shipping of around $11.

Let me know if you need the part number for the OEM reman CV axles. I still have the boxes....
