CV boots

Lifted my 4runner a weeks ago. Is there any preventive maintenance I can perform to prevent cv boots from tearing or should I just wait for them to fail and then act. Would hate to replace toyota CVs with after market CVs from auto zone or nappa parts.

Whats your suspension set up? Diff drop may help if you havent already installed that.

If you have the time may as well just reboot them now so it's not a pain in the ass later, since they will rip purely from old age. With that said, you don't have to, and I along with various others have gone hundreds (or thousands) of miles with ripped boots and then just rebooted it and had no problems so it's up to you. CV reboot kits are like $25 from Napa. I would NOT go with their CVs if you can afford otherwise (this is assuming you don't reboot and instead just replace them), there are numerous ideas they are weaker and I know simply from a quality perspective they are shittier since the joints will start to rust immediately and don't seem to have any sort of protective coating. With that said, it's nice to have a lifetime warranty and just swap them out whenever you want.
