I agree. I told her how lucky she and her daughter were. Her drive was on the highway and that could have been extremely bad. Thank God she had pulled over and was limping along the shoulder. Yes I also informed her about the locktite.

Despite being pretty mad that I could have almost been killed, I too would probably have also given the shop credit for owning up.

That is impressive that they were honest. It is a shame they were quick to blame the parts before looking into it. This is exactly the reason that you never want to bring your own parts because if there is a failure, they will almost always blame the parts.
