CVJ axle questions

So these showed up today, are they usually green? Lol

Some history before I ask questions: 2008 SR5 4x4 111k, lifted with Toytec Ultimate at about 107k in May. About a month ago I noticed both my inner CV boots were seeping grease out of the inner clamp, but boots aren't torn.

I am wondering if I just replace as is will they just do the same thing again? Have people with a similar situation done any mods before install? (IE boot slide mod mentioned to me by [MENTION=105800]Brutalguyracing[/MENTION]) I was gonna purchase the axles with silicone boots on the inner joints but didn't and now I'm second guessing it, thanks in advance for any input!

Most of the CVJ axles I have seen have the green shaft, so I guess its their thing?

I suppose, it was just odd for a second lol. Do you know if the cvj axles hold up ok with a 3" lift? I do have the diff drop so the angle is pretty mild, pretty much straight.

One of the main draws to CVJ is the fact they offer the hi angle silicone boots. But with being said they build a quality axle that should hold up well. If you need to warranty one make you don't tell them you are lifted as they don't warranty cv's on lifted trucks
