damn sticky gas pedal! any one else?

okay, i have taken all my accel and cruise cables out ad regreased them, but my pedal is stll sticky goin down! its getting on my nerves and im tired of looking lie a dumba$$ doing amature "green light take offs"..real quick and jerky. help!? btw 3.0 v6 auto :ybrick:

I had the same problem.

First I cleaned out the throttle body.

Second I got some lube called Tri-flow, I use it on my Mtn. Bike brake cables. I shot it down the throttle cable from both ends. While it was removed from the throttle body, I ran the cable back and forth until i felt it was good enough.

Put it back together and I was golden again.

Yes, I had the same problem, I actually solved it by just drenching the outside of the throttle mechanism with a teflon spray lube, problem came back a couple of times, but further applications stopped it for good. I never thought of using Tri-Flow, I'm a bicycle machanic and swear by that stuff - smells great too!

thanks for the input guys ill try that too. i romoved my throt body and cleaned the hell out of it and soaked the springs in white lithium. i recon ill keep spraying the cables till they decide to work!

My wifes Pacifica did that... turned out the throat on the throttle body was caked w black soot and carbon. Cleaned it up it w a can of carb cleaner and a toothbrush, problem solved.
