So you would take your infant and wife/girlfriend into the woods late at night alone to do some offroading? Yeah not the same thing as taking your infant on a plane or on a cruise. Not even close.

you don't seem to understand the point. the point is, something as simple as driving down the road can turn into a disaster.

familys go out and do things together and may have done it years upon years and nothing, but a simple thing was over looked and disaster.

this couple could have done numerous times before the baby and never had an issue.

hell I've done stupid things even solo that at the time I had done years without incident, the one time I overlooked something and it almost cost me a night in the ditch during December at night in -20F. compounded by that fact that I ended up miles from town on a road that is rarely travelled after hours didn't help.

but I had driven this route for 10 years w/o 1 incident.

edit : and btw I don't travel that road anymore after that. I learned my lesson but it could have turned out worse. also this was before cellphones became commonplace.

Well I see your point and im not trying to argue it. Shit happens. But you will never see me take my wife and my two toddlers out in the middle of the dark alone in the woods. That just sounds dumb when you say it out loud. Its one thing to do dumb stuff on your own but its time to grow up and start thinking when you have babies with you.
