Dash, Running Board, Front Parking lights always on

I just purchased a used 2004 4Runner Limited 2WD, V8 and I have a question about the lights.

When my vehicle is running the dash lights, running board lights and front parking lights stay on all the time. Does not matter if the switch is set to off, on, or auto. Those 3 lights stay on all the time.

Anyone else ever have this issue?

Well, my Runner is a sport edition so, no running board lights. But yes, when the vehicle is running, the dash lights, as well as the "DRL's" (daytime running lights) are always on UNLESS the headlights are on, at which time the DRL's shut off. This is normal for all 2003-2005 Runners equipped with DRL's.
