DECALS

IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO TAKE YOUR TRUCK OFF-ROAD YOU'LL SEE WHY THEY'RE THERE. SAVES THE ROCKER PANELS FROM CHIPS AND GETTING "PINSTRIPED" ON TIGHT TRAILS. I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING THE ONE OF THOSE CLEAR VINYL BODY KITS, BUT THE DECALS ARE FREE.

he only has them on the driver side though so not sure if thats the reason he was going for.

get one of those self install clear bra kits. the doors wouldnt be that hard not too many curves. can find them here for about $130

p.s. love that brake kit. when it comes time im going to go that route

BOTH SIDES

NO, IT'S THE SAME ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AS WELL. THAT WOULD REALLY LOOK RE****ED IF IT WASNT.

BTW
I REALLY COULD FIND 101 OTHER USES FOR $130 BUCKS.

AND THESE BRAKES ARE AWESOME. IF YOU TOW ANYTHING AT ALL, THEY REALLY HELP WITH BRAKE FADE FROM OVERHEATING

well i was sort of basing it off of this pic which i guess they are hard to see on the passenger side??

and looking re****ed is matter of opinion...like the other user stated he doesn

TO EACH HIS OWN

YOU'RE RIGHT, IT IS A MATTER OF OPINION. THE DECALS ARE SAVING MY PAINT SO THEY DO SERVE A PURPOSE. EVERY DECAL REPRESENTS SOMETHING UNIQUE THAT I'VE DONE TO THE TRUCK.
I HAVE PEOPLE COME UP AND ASK ME ABOUT THEM. EVEN AT THE DEALERSHIP, MY TRUCK DRAWS A CROWD.

Re: TO EACH HIS OWN

its a good looking truck. i would most certainly look twice when it drove by. i personally dont like to place decals on the paint of my car but thats me. its good not being a 'poser' with just throwing up stickers for stuff you dont have. i dig your truck.

Nice looking rig !! Welcome.

So in the pic are you being pulled out or are you pulling the other guy out ???

What size tires are you running ?

Never in a million years would I ever offroad my 4Runner, but that's just me. I'm more about having the nicest and cleanest vehicle on the road. I was actually thinking about a clear bra for my 4Runner.. maybe when I get some money.. lol

DHOWARD,

Please refrain from typing in caps. It's two fold, it makes your posts harder to read and two, it's considered yelling.

Thanks.

My first thought with a silver truck is what pinstripes? Do you know how hard you would have to look to find pinstripes on silver? Not to mention anything that will go deep will just go right through a decal.

I would be more worried about those tube steps destroying your side panels if you ever hit them offroading than pinstripes on a silver truck. In addition, the pinstripes will still be all up and down the rest of the truck, you are only saving a few feet, and only on the spots that has a decal. You will just have patches of scratches instead of full ones.

But hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.

Sorry about the Caps.

Sometimes I'm just too lazy to turn off the Caps lock.

Falls-

I'm being pulled out after trying to get down this..

the ice did'nt start to break until about half way and the ruts were pretty deep. I had water and ice to the bottom of the doors.

I'm running Cooper ATR's 265/70/17. just lifted the front so next tires going to be a little bigger.

The decals would fit the character of the truck more with a bit of a lift and bigger tires and lose the tube steps since those are just aching to be bent up off road.

Of all the places I've got scratches none are on the lower rockers for some reason but my TRD stickers are protecting my rear panels. :)

I almost tipped it over here and stickers wouldn't have saved it. ;):

as I mentioned, I just put 3" lift on the front. I have to wear these tires out before I can step up. also going to lose the steps and find some decent sliders, probably Hannah's because they bolt on. when the $$ is available I will do DR (Icon) lift front and back.

I to have my truck detailed to look the best , but many times it looks just like in those pictures , if not worse . It's my dual purpose vehicle.....lol. But it looks stunning. I clean it often.
