Daystar comfort Lift installation question

Hi guys,
I am new the forum and been doing a bit of research on lifting my 2011 4runner limited. I decided to go with the Daystar comfort ride lift since it is affordable and I am not going to do any crazy off -road. The problem is that can't find anyone to install them. I talked to some one at 4wheels parts and they said that the lift system I bought would not work with my limited 4runner 4x4 because of the XREAS system. But from what I have been reading people say it does work. I am really confuse and can someone tell me if it works or not? And if it does work can anyone who lives in the San Antonio recommend a place that will install them. Thanks for input.:redbrick::help:

It definitely works just fine with XREAS. A quick search on here will show a ton of ppl running spacer lifts with XREAS.

I can't vouch for a lift with the Xreas system but I had North Park Toyota (where I bought mine) install my Bilstein kit. Total was right around $500 including alignment. If you have Facebook go join the Central Texas Off Road Page. There is a tech at a dealership named Brent Hernandez in that group that works at one of the Toyota dealers. He may be able to get you a better deal.
 
Thanks for the input guys, So far no luck with getting someone to install it. I called North Star Toyota and they said they do not install after market parts on vehicles. They even said that there is no lift kit available for my vehicle. :sobbing: I couldn't find that central Texas off road page you were talking about, but I will keep looking.
 
If you're going for the lifted look, maintaining XREAS, and saving some money, then the Dayster and DIY installation is the best option. I was able to pick up the Daystar kit around $100 (from a forum member, new, never installed). I installed myself then headed to get an alignment for around $100. Not too shabby for only ~$200.

If I were OP, I'd try to find a group of local guys with a little more knowledge with tools and trucks and see if you can get a hand with it to DIY.

Cool thanks for the Tip. That's exactly what I am going to do. Do you have picture of your ride with the daystar lift kit?
 
Here's a pic of my '11 limited with the Daystar 2.5/1.5 and 275/60/20 Nittos. The DS install is pretty straight forward, but yota didn't give much slack on the xreas hydraulic lines so things were tight.

Hey man, your 4runner looks awesome. I am planning to install the daystar lift and 275/60/20 nitto's on my 4runner soon. Do you have any rubbing? Did you need to do the fender mod? Thanks!

I had rubbing at full lock. I had to push the fender skirt forward on the driver's side and actually cut on the passenger side to relieve it.

May I ask...how tall is your runner now? At the roof rails?
 
Thanks for the reply. I am going to go for it. Should be able to post some pictures in a week or two. I would be interested to know the height from ground to the roof rack as well. I would like to be able to park in my garage from time to time. Thanks for the help!

Sorry for the delay I just saw your quote. I'm not sure on height. It still fits in my garage with a few inches to spare though. I'll see if I can find a measuring tape for an accurate height.

Curious on the change in ride quality. Very noticeable?
 
Just installed the Daystar 2.5/1.5 lift with limited wheels and 275/60/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 4runner. I have been reading this forum for over a month trying to decide the best lift/tire combination, and I am very happy with the results. Thanks to everyone for the ideas!
