Daystar or Toytec??

The Daystar 2.5" complete lift kit or the Toytec 3" lift/leveling kit? Anybody recommend one over the other? Why?

Just put some DuraTrac's on and now want to add some height!

I vote for anything with the complete lift rather than a leveling kit. Personally, I think it looks better to have a lift all around rather than just adding a small spacer in the front end to lift it. I also don't care for the rake that comes stock on the 4R, so I vote for an all around....but that's just my $.02

Basically both lifts have the same principle, small top spacer and a preload spacer to make the front lift. Both have the same type of rear lift. Only difference is type of material. I'm sure others will chime in etc. Both will last along time and do what your looking for. Up to you on height differences.

Would love to go with a complete lift! But thats also a bit more than I want to spend right now. I dont offroad much but living in tahoe its nice to have ground clearance for the snow....

Go toytec, Its Aircraft aluminum spacers, much better quality/strength then daystar plastic, that over time will most likley start to indent from the weight and youl slightly lose lift. Seen it before.

I can imagine the snow gets fairly deep there during the winter! I understand the need for a decent lift for a fair price. Be sure to PM one of the toytec guys or ask for a discount code if you go for the toytec, that'll help save you a few bucks too, maybe at least cover the shipping costs.

Really up to you. A lot will depend on tire size you're going with. If it's a smaller tire, the Daystar may be a better choice (plus it's cheaper). All comes down to lift, is the extra 1/2" and a little better quality worth the added cost? I'd probably go with Toytec simply because they've got excellent customer service. I've tried talking to the Daystar folks before, let's just say it didn't go over well.

Duratrac 265/70R17 minor rubbing when in full right turn. Good advice. Customer support is important.
