Daystar Spacers - bad idea?

Good Morning,

I've got a pair of 1" spacers that I'd like to throw on the front of my 4runner to level it off.

Currently I ride with a 2" OME lift, and someone in a previous thread said it would be a bad idea to put the daystar on top of that lift. I didn't get any clarification as to why.

If this is a bad idea and creates a safety issue, could I trouble someone to tell me why? If not, let me know it is ok.

1" spacer = 2" lift. You already have 2"+ of lift. If you add 2" more you are at 4"+. Your CV angle will be too much. Lift on the 4Runner should be kept in the 3" range unless you like CV issues. The other issue is the down travel. Hope that helps.

Im 2wd but currently have Tacoma springs up front with the daystar spacer. The downward travel is horrible right now. Unless you wanna get some longer UCAs you would be better leaving where its at.

Eventually I plan on just getting 5100 and leaving it at the lowest setting with the spacer ontop. and adding a spacer in the rear. Using OEM FJ springs I would hope for a better ride keeping the shock in good travel.
