Several things: DRLs from the factory are a part of your insurance underwriting formula. If you disable them, legally, you should contact your insurance company and inform them if you want to continue to be covered. Expect an increase in your rate when you do.

Also, to the person that said they had a "white" T4R and were highly visible, think again. White is not a color, it is the reflection of all color. Black is also not a color, it is the absorbtion of all color. The most visible color, based on its visible spectrum wavelength, is red - it's the reason that stop signs and "red" lights are red. Just remember ROY G BIV. He's not a person, but a listing of colors from the longest visible wavelength to the shortest: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. (notice, no "white, and no "black")

A "white" automobile on an aged/weathered (grey) asphalt road, will also appear grey from just a very short distance away and will literally blend into it.

Disable your DRLs at your own risk and at the risk of not being covered if you don't inform your insurance carrier and get into a wreck were the plaintiff states that your DRLs were not functioning.

DRL on our vehicles isn't the low beam anyway - so if your headlights are coming on take them off auto on.

I have a switch installed for mine, but leave the DRLs on 99.9% of the time. However, that 0.1% of the time I need the DRLs off, I'm glad I have the switch.
