Is DDM a reputable company? I'm reading some decent reviews here, but some horror stories online. Go figure, found the horror stories after i ordered... lol. Thank goodness I used my AMEX in case I need to dispute.

I also placed an order with DDMtuning.com. I've heard nothing but good things about them. A few guys here at work made orders with them and are completely satisfied.

However, I placed my order over 3 weeks ago! I have received about 2 emails from them every week telling me my order is on back order. Maybe something with the Japan earthquake has slowed their shipping.

Anyway still waiting on my order. Thats all the input I have about them so far.

Nothing but good things from the folks I've talked to (I know quite a few that have them). I'll be ordering from them when I'm ready to get mine.

I've bought two sets from DDM. The units were packaged well and have worked without issue. Mine included and I would recommend the wiring harness (battery power line) to ensure the ballasts get sufficient current.

I have purchased 2 separate orders from them 1st time I bought the larger ballast ones and they came in within a week. I then ordered the slim ballast for my motorcycle 3 weeks ago and just got them yesterday.

Good service though and quality product!

I have nothing but good things to say about them, and currently have their kit in my 4runner.

They work. How can you go wrong with $35 HIDs with a lifetime warranty including the bulbs. Halogen bulbs are even more expensive. Their hid bulbs are only $15. If you are also installing them on your fog light, make sure to use a relay kit - my '07 didn't work until I installed the relay kit.

UPDATE

So I get another e-mail from ddmtuning.com. Apparently after 7 emails and 3.5 weeks my order has been shipped. I finally got a tracking number with this last email so I looked it up to see where my lights are and well..

Your item left SUZHOU EMS, CHINA PEOPLES REP on March 30, 2011

No clue when its supposed to be here but at least its on the way I guess:dammit:

I want to buy DDM sets but i have no idea from where can i buy. Can you suggest me site where can i get proper information about DDM.

I ordered a 5000k set with the wiring harness a few days ago, hopefully i get them in the next month! Sounds like they're pretty slow but I can't complain for such a good price! If this set works out, I may get some for my fogs as i seem to keep blowing one of the halogens every couple months at this point!

Newbie on HIDs

Hi there… wondering if someone could help clarify what DDM Tuning kits are needed fro the headlights and what are needed for fog lights? Or are they the same… any input would be greatly appreciated!

I bought from them a few months ago and got my HID kit within 2 weeks.

(I think it took a few days for it to indicate "shipped," but 2 weeks isn't bad.)

I've had DDM HIDS in both my low beams and fog lights for about 10 months now. Works well and has held up fine...great quality for the price. I can't really comment on shipping since I went to the actual warehouse in Huntington Beach, CA to pick them up.

I placed my order on the 28th and got shipping information this morning. If it goes out today as they claim, I should have it within the next couple days for a total time of about a week and a half to 2 weeks after placing the order, not too shabby considering the savings!

according to the tracking, they're out for delivery right now. Ordered on 3/28, delivery on 4/19. It's not the best shipping but I guess they planned it so I get them on my bday? what a great bday present, although now I want to install it today, we'll see how that goes.

I just read somewhere that I need to disconnect my DRLs also, and I thought I knew everything already, hoepfully there's nothing else I don't see before install....

....and they came...

NO installation instructions but whatever, i figured it out! Looked up the instructions on DDMs website and they helped, to some extent. for the most part I just figured it out.

The factor bulb connector did not fit into the connection out of the balast and I figured out the "extra" wires that were on my bulb assemble (running through the rubber gromet with the wires that actually go to the bulb) had one end that fit the balast and another that fit the factory connector. This actually proved useful because it allowed me to mount the balast away from the headlight assembly but I'm not sure why it runs through the rubber gromet as it prevents the groment from fitting snugly over the back of the bulb. Either way, it ended up not looking so pretty right behind the headlight housing but I was able to run the other wires cleanly and it looks good.

I'm going to do a little more tucking away later and maybe tape down the rubber gromet over the back of the bulb but in the end I'm very satisfied for less than 60 bucks. I actually bought the wiring harness for the battery but didnt end up using it since I got the 35w 5000k kit and realized it doesnt actually need the harness.

They look great in the light, definitely adds a crisper look to the front with the HLs on. I can't wait for it to get dark so I can see the real effects!

Install took about 45 minutes to an hour but once I figured out placement of the balasts and how to hook it all up it went smoothly. Great present to receive on my bday and glad the install was nearly trouble free!
