Ddm hids

I've used DDM Tuning HID kits on at least 7 different cars. Been inside the store in HB and all the guys know their stuff, only downside is everyone orders HID kits from them so that's why it takes so long. It's worth the wait IMO or I wouldn't use them so much.

ARK, you got instructions? Mine came with the balasts in separate boxes, the bulbs in the same box, 4 zip ties, no instructions or mounting tape.

Is yours setup the same with the 4 wires going through the rubber gromet? I cut the two that serve as the connection between the balast and the stock bulb connector and moved them outside of the gromet but even then, the gromet does not fit well on the back of the bulb, leaving a space exposed to the elements.

Also, did you see the notes about the h11 bulb setup possibly being incorrect? That is, removing the red rubber gromet and the clear plastic spacer ring and then replacing the gromet after turning it around (leaving the plastic spacer ring off).

I didn't do this but the bulbs seem to fit well in the housings and I've had no problems with them since last week (other than not tightening my battery cables enough when I put them back on and my radio started cutting out while driving and the voltage was fluctuating like mad. I tightened the connection and all is good again)

Um i dont know whats so special about those DDM kits but i can get HID kits for 80 bucks n i will ship them to u usps flat rate for like 7 bucks priorty with delivery confirmation.. 1yr warranty waterproof slim ballasts. and also those little led lights for your interior. Either way just tryin to save yall some money.. ive had these in my truck since 09. If intrested just give me a buzz..305-423-9215..

DDM's kits cost much less than $80 and have a full lifetime warranty.

jpless- I'm not surprised there were no instructions. Neither of my sets had them. It wasn't a big deal for me. I figure when you're getting the kit that cheap they aren't going to be perfect. You can go to their website and find the diagrams and instructions if you need them.

yea I wasnt upset by the lack of instructions or mounting tape, i mean it was 40 bucks + shipping for the set with a lifetime warranty so no complaints here.

I was just wondering what other people have received in terms of kits because when I looked up the instructions, the wiring looked different on the website than the kit I got (4 wires going through the gromet when in reality two of them are just for an extension cable).

Also wondering if it's dangerous leaving it the way it is, without the black gromet covering the back of the bulb since it won't fit.

I LOVE the look of these and am so pumped I found DDM, the $150 price tag on xenondepot's was making this one of those "i'll eventually do this" mods.

As far as the extra wires go, I believe it is just recommended to cut the extra ones off as they are not needed. (That's what I did) And I wouldn't worry about the gromets, I just scooted mine up as close to the connection as I could. Haven't had any issues so far.

Your not saving anyone money

Instructions are listed on this page. I did get instructions with my kit, they were accurate. I've got the 9006, so not sure on anything related to the H1's. Got mine installed, super easy. There was an extra set of wires I had to cut. Also, I had to plug in the OEM harness upside down to get it to work. I've read about this before and was ready for it, so no big deal. Haven't actually drove at night with them, seem to great though. Cutoff is much more defined than I expected.
