Is this just my luck, or am I missing something, not sure what I expected for $40.00, but I kinda expected them to work, and I don't see a phone # for tech support on their site. any ideas?

If you just hooked them up and they're not working, my guess is where the ballast plugs into the OEM harness. The 4runner has reverse polarity, you have to plug this connection in upside down. The latch will not catch, but this is required for them to work.

Had the same exact problem on my sc400 and tundra. either flip the pin connector or use a eyeglass screwdriver and pull the wires and flip them around.

My buddy just installed some all-in-one projector assemblies from ebay in his s10 and he was having problems with them both powering on. He would have to flash his brights (he has a separate halogen bulb for brights) several times in order to get both HIDs to power on. He told me it was a common problem because HIDs initially take more power when lighting up. To fix it, he had to buy a wiring harness that hooks directly up to the battery.

I flipped the connector multiple times, also I did not use a relay harness, and I tried hooking both ballasts up in different configurations.

It's either something simple or you could have gotten bad ballasts, but what are the odds of getting two bad ballasts? I definitely had to flip the polarity on mine and ended up re-pinning the connector and grinding down the plastic "hood" on the connector to get it to seat properly. My DDM kits have been working perfectly for a few months now with no additional harness.

let me also state that I was going to order the fogs as well, but didn't want to deal with the glare from non projector housings, I'm glad I didn't because there were zero marking indicating what bulbs came in the package, so I downloaded the bulb pics, and sure enough it appears they sent me the wrong ones, I double checked my order, and I was sent the wrong ones. that is the 2nd set of incorrect bulbs this week, I ordered a set of yellow fogs, and they sent 80watt H10's for some reason, so now I have to send these back to and wait. like tearing off my bumper wasnt fun in 30 degree temps here in fl..

Yeah, i have a 55watt kit, and initially they would flicker on and then cut off. So, i sent them back. and nothing was wrong with them. While they were gone i replaced my corroded battery terminal and got a new battery. The 55watt kit works fine now, without the additional harness.

i recently got a 55w 6000k kit and it didn't light up with the harness first then i noticed that the connecting pins didn't get in contact with the stock bulb connecter so i took a hammer and broke all the plastic around the harness connector and plugged the pins straight into the stock bulb connector and it work

A lot of Toyota vehicles have reversed polarity and you have to change the orientation of the positive/negative wires on the HID connector which plugs into your OEM harness. You should be able to remove each of the wires by releasing the pins in the connector with a precision screwdriver.
