Dead Mouse in the HVAC Vent

I have a noxious odor coming out of the cabin air vents, pretty sure it's a dead mouse. Have changed the cabin air filter (smelled bad and got a little mouse hair, but no major parts). Also pulled the fan and cleaned that out, but found nothing. I suspect the critter is upstream of the filter, like somewhere between the filter and cabin air intake. I tried compressed air, water, and AC duct cleaner spray. Still smells like a dead mouse! Anybody got any ideas apart from taking it to the dealer and spending a few hundred dollars to have them pull the whole dash out?
