Dead pedal squeak

So i got my truck back from the dealer today after having my lift put in, and along with my lift it came back with a dead pedal that squeaks like crazy.

and a horrible, styrofoam rubbing squeak. Turns out the entire support for the rest pedal is made up from styrofoam. seems that mine has somehow come loose and now squeaks like crazy against the metal behind it, anytime i put my foot near it.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

It's squeaking on the rubber firewall insulation in front of it.If you pull it out and look at it ,there is black felt glued to the bottom. There isn't any on the forward side where it rubs against the rubber insulation in front of where it goes when it gets loose and that's where you get the squeak.

I just stuffed a small rag up under it in the front to stop the squeak til I took it out and modded it/fixed it when I put a floor switch there. I use the switch to control my LED's when on back country roads and such. Here are we pics of what it looks like....Floor Dimmer Switch

Must be that time of year again when the temperatures get cold enough for the dead pedal to start making some noise....

Is this something that normally just develops?

I couldnt help but assume the dealer did something as I've never heard it until i got it back from them today.

As mentioned by Mason, when it gets cold out plastic and rubber do squeak and rattle more. Somebody from that shop probably has a heavy left foot or was pushing forward hard on it to loosen it up.It gets loose because it's only held down by those 2 plastic screws and of course the carpet. I added 2 screws to mine so it won't move anymore.

If you are tallking about foot rest on the left - it's very easy. There was a thread somewhere here about it, but long story short I went to the dealer and mentioned the squeaks. They ordered a part from Toyota called me back in few days and fixed it in 5 min under warranty. It was probably about 1 year ago and it hasn't been squeaking since then.
