That just means that your dealer was careless and forgot to reset the maintenance light. The truck does not know if the oil was changed or not, it just knows that the maintenance light has not been reset in 5,000 miles. or hold the reset button on the dash and start engine. Hold until light disappears.

You don't need to start the truck, just turn the key to the ON position.
