Dealer Recommends Fuel Injection Service?

My local toyota stealership recommends a "fuel injection cleaning" service every 60 thousand miles. They want $169 plus tax.

Is this necessary? Have you guys had this done at your dealership?

F that maybe after 90-100 k ! Run some seafoam thru cpl tanks .

Injector cleaning

It's a gimmic to get money. Unless it's running badly don't do it. My wife had it done to her 4 Runner and there was absolutely no difference in performance, mileage or anything else. Sea Foam is just as good and much cheaper.

I was told the same at my dealer. And I said no. I had less than 60,000 miles on it. now I have 122,000 and I have dont anything to clean the fuel injection, I just put 93 octane

I had it down to my Tacoma at 30k as recommended once. It is supposed to be a more thorough cleaning than just getting a can from car parts store but still not worth it at all til about 100k miles. Don’t do it. Also, it’s no in the factory service manual to have it done so that should tell you something about stealership gimmicks.
