Well i have been a technician for 7 years now and i can tell you that calipers are a very common problem in the Toyota truck world. I work for the largest dealer in the Midwest and i can say that i see at least 2 trucks a month that need calipers.I k now it sounds crazy but you will feel minimum braking defect because it is when you try and push the pistons back they seized up. As for the fluids WS (World Standard) it is on fact a Toyota (Not Dealer) recommended every 100k miles but me personally recommend it every 60k. Like was said before its cheap insurance!! And its easy to change!!!
As for the super LLC (long life coolant-pink) It is also recommended every 100k miles but again i recommend it every 60k. Besides Toyota's by far have the worst manufactured water pumps EVER!!! does not matter what kind of car they all leak!!!!! Now don't get me wrong i am not *****ing im just simply irritated that dealerships give me, An honest technician that is just trying to make a living a bad name.. Besides 90% of the dealership scares are the idiot service writers that have no idea what they are talking about just blowing smoke up a customers ass!!!
