Debating buying a 4th gen 4Runner. Help!

How long do you think you'll keep the 4runner? How soon do you want to be done with payments? Are side airbags important to you and your family?
A million questions like that rattle around in my head.
Basically, if you're buying this for the long haul and the service history of the silver one is as good as the red one then go that route. The mileage is nice if it's been taken care of as well as the red one.
Otherwise, if you want to be done with payments soon and don't think you'll keep it forever then the red one is a good value especially if it's been meticulously cared for.
I bought a 2006 V8 with 54K knowing I plan on keeping this thing a long time. I'm nearing 100K miles now and hope to keep it until 300K plus.
...and the only thing I wish it had is side air bags for my family. I don't think those were standard until 2008 though.

It's not a everyday vehicle. I have a new Camry that I drive daily. The 4Runner is to take up north for snowboard trips and to take my dog to the beach in and do a little bit of wheeling (nothing crazy) also for snowy days here in New England. Safety is absolutely a concern but side airbags aren't a deal breaker for me as its for me and I don't have kids. Also I want it to last forever haha I mean realistically I just want it to be worth the money I spend on it. If I can get my money worth I'm a happy person.

Besides the bells and whistles of the Limited, the '08 model year has the option to turn off the traction control. The 2007 and earlier didn't have that option. Not a huge issue (there are DIYs on here), but when it rains here in TX, the roads get slick enough the traction control takes over when I'm trying to punch it and kills engine power. It's the one thing I don't like about my '07 Sport.

Good choice sport is clean , your peps checked for frame rust ? Get some pull off TRD wheels & you're set !!! Saw one earlier in red with them SWEET !!

Thanks! Yes the the frame is in fantastic condition. I know I've been eying the new TRD pro wheels with the grappler tires. I'm going to price them out on Monday with a snowboard rack. I also want to lift the front a little to get rid of some of the rake.

Between the two you found, I would go with the silver one as it has low mileage, good price and nice color. But, before you do, I suggest that you inspect the car thoroughly inside, outside and underneath (for singn of rusts, oil/leaks).
A year ago I found a nice looking V8 silver Sport locally and was about to offer. Just out of curiosity, I asked to have the vehicle lifted up. I couldn't believe how bad the rusts were, the frame included. I walked away in the heartbeat. I found a much nicer one later from the south where there was no snow/salt on the roads.
Since the vehicle is in your dealer, where you work, ask if you can take it home for the weekend so you can drive it for a day or two, checking out how it runs.
If all's good, go for it.
