Debating Plasti-Dipping......Opinions on pics inside..

Waiting for my loan to go through but should have my '03 black Sport Edition 2wd by Monday. Is yours 2wd too? I was going to get Firestone Destinations but if you have 2wd and you like the BFG's with your 2wd, i might get those because they look better. how much has your gas mileage suffered?
oh and if you could take pics of your plastidipping process that would be aweosome.

Yep, mine is 2wd as well. Had i gone with the same size BFG as i had my street tires in, i don't think my gas mileage would have changed a bit. I went up one size because i had just installed my DS. I am very pleased with these tires.

Yep, that is a Yakima fairing, but i am not sure what size it is. I had it on my Maxima before my 4Runner. I just covered it with black vinyl and cut the 4RUNNER logo for it. I had even replaced the Yakima logos on the towers with TRD logos.

Definitely cladding! then once you've done that you can decide whether the wheels would go well with it or not!

I'm just messin man, I love my wheels! may go for some super flex soon actually to give me just a lil more in the back, cuz right now it's perfectly level and i miss a lil rake

Hey Momo not to change subject but gonna , what size are your towers & clamps on roofrack ? I have the old style towers that ares smaller clamps so looking to order some from rackattack ? All they advertise is for Xterras so ?

Honestly i am not sure what towers they are. Yakima changes stuff so often, i wouldn't know how to reference them. I have had the actual towers for almost 20 years on 4 different vehicles. The Railgrabs i have worked on my stock roof rack, with the more square rails and luckily worked with this new Urban Runner rack. If i were you, i would find a Yakima dealer in town and go by to talk to them about it. Then just order from rackattack if they are cheaper.
Thumbs up on both the cladding and the wheels. The grey contrasts well against the black. Someone mentioned monotoned earlier, but that's hardly the case I believe. The colors you're proposing actually help to keep it closer to a stock outfit, rather then something overwhelmingly after-market. Not sure if that's what you're going for, but that's my ass opinion. Go for it!
And love the tires by the way. I'm in the market for the same. How much did you spend if you don't mind me asking. I'm getting in the range of $750 installed.

Also, not so much a fan of dipped wheels. That's an area where I like the contrast in some form.

Looks great man. That is a deal for an '03 with those few miles. What other plans do you have for it?
I am really bummed about not getting to work on mine this weekend. I have been going over the steps in my head, so i pretty much know how i will go about it. Just need to get the time.
