Deckplate Mode + CA Smog Emissions

should I be concerned? Will the deckplate mod pass the visual?

My guess would be that you should be fine. My subaru almost passed inspection with an aftermarket exhaust and an obvious aftermarket downpipe. It also had an intercooler added to it that wasn't there when it was stock. They only complained about the downpipe. The other stuff they completely ignored. Now, my subaru is a 91, so it's a bit old for them to be up on what should and shouldn't be there.

With something so minor as your deckplate, I think you should be just fine.

Just make sure you have the deckplate in when you get the visual and it shouldn't be noticed and won't affect the tests.

done and done. Just passed my smog test.

It just looks like my car sucks @ 15MPH with hydrocarbons.

However, I did test below the average for Carbon Monoxide @ 25MPH. w00t!

it will usually be fine. but im pretty sure according to CA law, you could fail the visual inspection for it. In that case, i would probably go to a different smog center. chances are it wont happen twice
