Dee Zee Running Boards: Quality Control Problems

OK so i ordered my Dee Zee running boards and installed them last week, I was worried about all the trouble with shipping and packaging that some members had.
I ordered mine through auto everything and although the running boards and the brackets shipped out separately (the brackets were on back order???) They arrived in semi good shape.

Only a little slight damage to the end of one running board. And a picture of what you get in the box.

The instructions and VERY vague, first you have to unbolt the stock bolt that hold on your rocker panels (I think that's what they are called) and then place the bracket over the original holes and then re-install the screws.

Last one. Not as good as Mr. Antman's write up but I'm new here.

Looks great! Not a fan of the chrome but thats me.

Did you use the new longer bolts that came with the boards to mount the brackets? Your pics show the OEM rocker bolts being reused.

BTW you can add more than one pic to your posts :hiding:

I know the chrome is a bit bling, I wish I had got the black but oh well.!
I ended up using the OEM bolts and they worked fine.
I had a hell of a time uploading the pictures, the forum kept saying that the pictures could not upload....maybe it was my crappy computer skills, but you get the jist...

Bringing this back from the dead. Carl- thanks for the response. Any feedback on these since you guys installed these? Ebay was showing upwards of $600 CDN but it looks like I can order for under $400 from other websites.

Back from the dead!!!

anyone have pictures of the brackets and how much lower they hang?

Curious to see how much ground clearance they take away.

Dont want to cut rocker panels and will need some sort of step once lift kit goes on... did not like where the nfabs with the Ride spacers ended up

I'm so glad this thread is revived so I can comment...

I'm sorry, bit I HAVE to say, there is no way I would have been as calm as you guys with that packaging OR the condition of the running boards. ESPECIALLY the chrome. The end damage is unacceptable. Are there no other options for these?

I know the original post is ancient, but... one thing I noticed is that one end is slightly longer and the other end seems stubbed. So my question about the 1.5-2 inch sticking into the wheel well... Are the boards on the correct side of the vehicle? I mean, there very well COULD be a left and right side. Wouldn't surprise me if DeeZee doesn't indicate that...

With that said... is it the price that attracts you guys even after knowing how poor the quality and customer service is?

are you going to revive every **** ing deezee thread? Price is great, shipping/QC sucks, they have a huge ass gap between the rocker (No you dont have to trim them).....

Mine came new. I didn't have any problems with it. Install was easy and quality is good. I would rather have OPOR but I don't think my wife would be happy.
