deer whistles - has anyone installed them on your 4runner

Yes they do. We know the frequency range of deers. Humans can actually hear higher frequencies than deer. The "deer" whistles vibrate at a frequency even beyond the human hearing range.
Are you saying that we have a greater frequency range than deer, but we can't hear them and therefore the deer can't hear them either?

When researchers blew the whistles right next to several deer, and there was no reaction - well, that sorta did it for me . . .

Listen, if there was anything to it, the insurance companies would be all over it. Instead, their own research puts the kyebash on it!

I came very close to hitting a deer when I was on vacation. I was going around a corner at about 40 mph and there was a deer in the middle of the road. I slammed on the breaks and hit my horn. He ran off with me in the other lane (lucky there was no oncoming traffic). Im thinking of just picking a deer whistle up because 5$ dollars cant hurt, but if deer can hear it I wonder about other wildlife, I hunt a lot so I wonder if it would scare them off to.

NO NO! Please send me the $5, and I will send you information on how to make your own special gold painted rock - PROVEN to be much more effective than the whistles! :awais:

The guy who invented these things has a house in the Bahamas next door to the guy who invented the copper bracelet. They play golf with the "male enhancement" people. They know from experience that $5 here and there can't hurt.

Wait just a momment - are you saying "male enhancement" doesn't work!!?? You didn't have to tell me that. Even though I suspected I was wasting my money, I thought there might be some hope . . . now all that's gone. What's an "unenhanced" guy to do!?

Maybe sell gold plated rocks?

and now I suppose you guys are going to tell me that the Axe/Tag Body wash doesn't really cause all hot women to throw themselves at the guy who used it.

I will say my wife at least noticed it - maybe that's why I've seen all that action lately! Must go out and buy gallons now . . .

I was just giving Bucky a hard time about the Badgers, of which I am NOT a fan (but I'm no Goofers fan, either, I can't handle the stress).

What if the whistles repel other animals? Can anyone prove they don't?
I wish they had a whistle to repel bugs. Those things splattered on your ride are pure protien, might as well have egg all over it.
I hit a bird on I-94 recently. A whole swarm of the buggers, and one smacked my front driver side fender. No dent or chips, just a loud "THUD". Let's get a bird whistle (or at least charge $5 for a "bird whistle").
:bash:

Go to your local auto body shop and ask what they think of these whistles.
My local shop loves them as they are great for business.
Apparently, a VERY HIGH percentage of their deer strike business have these whistles.
