Default recirculation on HVAC controls

I've noticed that my recirculation button is always on be default whenever I have anything other than a defrost setting selected. Is there a way to stop the controls from doing that on their own? I rarely want recerc on and it annoys me that I have to keep turning it off.

Yes, I am annoyed easily.

If you set your temperature one setting above low which is 65 as I recall the recirculation will not default to on each time you start your vehicle.

News flash: The A/C works MUCH more efficiently on recirculate.

That's why it defaults to recirculate mode all the time on the "LO" setting, or for the first several minutes on any setting if it's really hot outside.

And it's really annoying how recirc turns itself off after those first couple of minutes. Once you turn it back on manually, it stays on forever until you change the auto settings at some other point.

I think you can have the Stealer change that to manual, as one of the Personal settings.

Turn off auto temp control, then turn off the recirc. Until you turn auto back on, recirc should stay off.

I think you can have the Stealer change that to manual, as one of the Personal settings.

Well, being that it's only been about 95-100 degrees for most places recently, I can't see why anybody *wouldn't* be using their A/C around this time of year.

Yeah, and what's that supposed to mean? Every time I've been to Canada in the summer time, I've been GLAD to have A/C... And that includes anywhere from British Columbia to Ontario. Some of the areas in Alberta and a few hundred clicks inland from the coast in British Columbia get hotter than it does where I live, in south-central Texas.

True, it can get mighty toasty, but I am not questioning it with AC. Actually, I suspect most people leave it on recirc when the AC for that very reason. It's pretty common knowledge.

I usually use floor/vent mix if I can, and that is the setting and the controls default to recirc, which I actively don't like.
