Anybody here have the Demello bumper for their 2014+ 5th gens? I can only find one thread with the white trail used for fitment. I want to know some owner opinions about it. Looks like you have to cut away the stock bumper and install some inserts and get it color matched.

I tried emailing them with some questions I had as I was planning on grabbing the bumper from them with a winch but never got an answer. Been over a month now :(

i ordered one 15 weeks ago with an estimated delivery date 6 weeks later. at week 11 i had enough with them continually stalling and saying it would be just a few more days and ordered my 4x4labs. from what i understand, those orders still haven't been filled dirty people. they won't ever earn my business again.

Yes I don't understand why people still email these days when you can simply pick up your cell and get an answer right then and there. I always stall on answering emails because I can..

i used the email on their site and got a response within few hours, that's because i was asking a few questions and not buying. If i'm ready to buy, i'd pick up the phone and inquire.

Businesses sometimes prefer email. Papertrail is one so there is no he said she said. I use to work for a very big company at which 99% of my clients used email since they were pretty much always busy (IT people)

I couldn't agree more. If I have questions before I buy I won't call you. I rather get an answer on paper so I have it when I'm ready so when I want to order I will call and say exactly what I want.

All I wanted from them in the email was a price for the bumper with a winch and a light bar with the hoops.

But anyways if they don't want to answer it's all good there are plenty of other vendors

No I get the benefits of email when it comes to business but when it's something to do with my personal money and I want to know right now, I call. They can't avoid you when you're talking to them as opposed to email in which they can claim they never got the message

Aaah yeah I get where you're coming from

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunate that nobody else on this forum has one of their bumpers. Maybe just one in existence and that's the one on that white trail linked above. Lol.

Wow!

That's Jason Domello's personal truck, that's why he has one. They're really nice people with good customer service. I just don't understand how you can say confidently shipping in 6-8 weeks no problem because all they're waiting on is the parts to arrive from the laser, and then 16 weeks later they're still not shipping with the same excuse.

IMO its the best looking 5th gen bumper but that doesn't mean anything if you cant buy one...

Thank you.

Just to give an update. We have gotten way behind on getting these. That was never the intent. We are doing our best to get them out as soon as possible. Unfortunately time frames we were given from our suppliers have come and gone. It's been a learning lesson for us and we've adopted some new rules for giving ETA's when we don't have 100% control over them.

But I can guarantee those who have waited and stuck with us will get their bumpers. But for those that wanted to cancel orders, we totally understand and we've refunded a couple that couldn't wait any longer.

Thanks guys and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call 951-735-4417 or e-mail me direct [email protected]

Thanks for chiming in Jason. I'll lend my opinion and advice which you may or may not need:

As a business owner, ALWAYS under promise and over deliver. I don't care if you tell me it will take 6 months to get your bumper, it's the bumper I want and i would wait. Most vendors on this site that get a bad rep are because of mislead lead times.

Thank you.

Respect! Coming over from Tacoma World I know you guys do amazing work. Mistakes are always made, it's how you learn from them that counts.

I wish it was that simple. In short we already do that. Baring anything one of my sales reps said or was miss spoken about. And yes we have meetings where they are scolded regularly about under promise over deliver. And for the most part the nail is hit on the head but the ones that fall through the cracks are the ones you hear about most often.

We generally get told from our laser cutter or any supplier a given time frame. If they tell us 4 weeks we double it at minim. We try to be as upfront as possible with people. Pepper in some re-works (because we want it right) and some mis-communication and we are here.

We just had a meeting this last week about this and we are going to implement a new system that in this industry at least may be come the norm for updating customers. Because it's not just us, we order parts from other vendors and we hear the same things. But we listen and the number one thing we hear is, "just tell us, just keep us in the know". Despite having call days "fridays" where my sales people try to get through their stack of invoices and update people, either the day gets away from them with day to day stuff or the info simply wasn't received. We are working on a system that will involve a simple updated text once a week on order status and help keep people in the loop.
