This! I just shopped around and bought one myself here in the last 2 weeks.

After reading all over this forum I was torn on the Amazon ones so I called the dealer on a whim and got OEM for $200 so I went for it. My reasons were that I knew if it was damaged (do a search...tons of amazon ones come damaged) I could take it back and second, with all the questions around OEM and aftermarket I just decided to go OEM and be done with it for that price.

You can get them cheaper on Amazon for sure but be careful there are two types of denso's on there...OEM and non-OEM:

First, is the non-OEM cheaper one you are talking about. This is the one that comes broken / dented a lot due to bad packaging. Also, apparently the tranny connections on these are not as stout as on the OEM. I can't verify but found that on several posts. A big deal? Likely not but still maybe not EXACTLY the same as OEM (so many things like this...LBJ's for another good example.)

Second is the stock OEM. Plenty will say it's the same as the other. Who knows? It does come in a Toyota branded box and not that I want to pay for that but mine was not damaged in any way. But for $200 from my dealer and no shipping (this one is not prime on az) that just ended up being the best deal and most peace of mind.

I called a few Toyota dealers in my area for a radiator for my 2000 sr5 & got prices around $280 which I figured was about par for an oem radiator. Then I found that if I went on their website, the listed price was $111.99 with no shipping to the dealership. What a deal! Picked it up today. The parts man confirmed that toyota had recently cut prices on radiators & other parts. Oem toyota oil filters for under $5.00 too. Check out your local dealers website.

I ordered one from Amazon, packaging was pretty poor. It's not designed for UPS/FedEX shipping; it's more for parts delivery to warehouse/dealership.

I think they're too new? We just got the literature I posted in the other thread sometime last week.

That's what I was thinking. I searched a few other online Toyota parts suppliers and saw it listed as a 3rd gen 4runner radiator. I think a friend of mine is going to order it as part of his timing belt job. Thanks for sharing the info.
 
perhaps those radiators are just oem replacement radiators, not the Japan-made oem Toyota because the original radiator part number is different:

I'm fairly certain this radiator is an OEM without the Toyota box and part number. Denso made the radiators for Toyota for these trucks. I put this one in my 2000, looks identical to OEM but with different number sticker. Might check ebay, mine was under 100 after shipping.
 
Denso does make a lot of OEM radiators including for toyota. I run the Denso rads noted in this post. Excellent quality, no issues at all.

I did install a new Denso radiator. Perfect fit. Could not get the local dealer to drop the price. They wanted around 165.00. A friend of mine got one for 115.00 from his local supplier. No shipping and had it in a couple of hours. I did have to help him pull a transfer case from a Land Rover in exchange.
 
I just got the cheaper OEM radiator (16410-AZ011). My local dealer matched Camelback's price ($119) after a little complaining about how much money I was saving..

It was packed decent. Nothing broken. A couple fins were slightly buggered.

The radiator says "Denso 21702, 16410-AZ011, MADE IN TAIWAN". The box says "Genuine Toyota".

I ordered the amazon Denso radiator that is linked in this thread...and it was made in China so it's going back to Amazon. I ended up purchasing a radiator through Autonation Toyota for $117.
