Nice build, I just went through your other one on TW. I'm on the fence as well about the taillight guards. I've thought about getting them as well, but they kind of stand in the back with nothing else.

I think you need a Surf tailgate and tire carrier to tie them into. :guitar3:

Question, why did you choose to have the white lettering face out??

This is my third set. I like the KM2s a lot.


Just a personal preference to have the white letters out, I like the look better.

Yeah I've had them on 2 vehicles now (the other being a Tacoma). They're great looking rims. I don't have any odd issues with them. I'd definitely recommend them.

I just recently starting hearing a very odd noise every time I start up my Runner. It lasts about 1 second and happens immediately after the truck turns over. It almost sounds like a squeaky belt or something but I know it can't be because I just had all the belts replaced in July...


It's coming from the passenger side. Any guesses?

well sense i see you are now actually up here we could take a look/see listen/hear... sometime to try and pin point the issue. it could be a belt or pulley or even a bearing from the ac pump or water pump. it has been raining up here the last few days, so maybe some water is getting on the belt some how...

Turns it my starter was going bad, and I just had it replaced.
