So this is going to be my first post on here, I'm 16 and was lucky enough to get a really nice Desert Dune t4r from my grandparents. I owned it for about a month before I started to itch to add something else.

This thread is basically for me to keep track of my ideas until I have enough money to buy them!

underlined is plans

Interior
-Kenwood double DIN bluetooth touchscreen head unit
-HiFonics 2400watt amp
-2 12" NVX subs
-Shitty target brand rubber floor mats

-LEDs in all of the interior(add footwell accents etc)

-Removed running boards

-Roof rack lights two KC HiLites spotlights 6" two hella flood 4"

-KC HiLites two 6" spotlights (bumper mount maybe?)
-2 Chinese LED light bars 4 inches, for reverse lights

Then my build thread would be "look at my cool stereo!" Followed by "I can't afford to fix my engine cause I bought a stereo.

Seriously though, how many miles on your rig? Do the routine maintenance. Set aside funds for tires, brakes, break downs, etc, just in case poo hits the fan, which it probably will cause that's life.

And pictures. All threads are useless without pictures.

So much truth here, I had the huge stereo, but I always had some moolah in my back pocket just in case. Always have a safety net.

I vote for timing belt waterpump and all belts and tensioners mod and transmission cooler. That's all I've done to my truck. So far I've spent 400 dollars.

Well poo has officially hit the fan. Engine started making a weird clunking noise on Saturday..it only happens at higher rpms, about 3/3.5 it stops when I let off the it seems to only really happen when I'm going up hills or accelerating quickl. Luckily I do have some money saved up. And not parents agreed to pay for the cost to fix. The catch? That's what I get for my birthday, a fixed car. As soon as I my car is out of the shop I'll take some picture of the little I have so far!

I've had the same 99 Limited as you since 2002. I can tell you from experience, change the timing belt, radiator ( trans cooler problem ), rear axle seals ( I bet they're leaking ), water pump. I've had to replace these all multiple times due to failure... the timing belt never failed.

Some Changes

Shes got a little black eye, hit a mailbox over the summer. Still running stock suspension but hoping to get something new and learn how to put it in! And before anyone says it, yes I have done the maintenance. Brought it in to get checked out for leaks etc, and it was clear! Now hopefully she'll stay that way.

P.S. someone teach me how to rotate pictures on here. or do I have to do it pre-upload

PPS got to take her out in some mud after days of continuous rain. Don't have a lot of state designated trails where I live so You kinda gotta get creative:laugh::eyebrows::eyebrows:

A once clean 4Runner and a high school kid that likes to "off road". This can only end well, with little to no maintenance, a lot of redlining and flat black spray paint.

I noticed that. It's mostly just in the door jams so I'm not super worried, but we don't have a lot of OHV trails in Wisconsin so I try to have some fun wherever I can!

If anyone has any idea about any trails in the Minneapolis St. Paul area, I live right across the border in Wisconsin so it'd be much appreciated!
