The paint underneath might be in better shape, just go over it with a polish and you should be gtg.
(high school) ha so ill pull the runner in the garage and get my moms hair dryer and some fishing line to pull em off then ill clean her off. think im just gonna do the sides not the back

so my dad finally let me detag the runner. i only took off the sr5 emblems on the sides but i have a problem with the driver side! the passenger side looks great but the driver side has like a rectangle around it where it looks like clearcoat paint was not put on there.?? here are the pics. the first one is the passenger side and the second is the driver side...
any thoughts on how to fix it???

I was also thinking about debadging. What do you use to do it? I have an SE. Do yall think it will look too plain?

dang 100-200 bones! i might as well leave it. i dont really care that much i made another post in the acessories page and i posted pictures. its not all that bad but its noticeable

I didn't use a hair dryer. My 4R was out in the sun and the letters just popped off one by one. The badges on the rear lift gate gave me a little more hassle, but I just parked my car so the back was facing the sun for about 15 minutes then I was able to get them off as well.
The badges on the side did not leave any of that sticky stuff behind. We just clay bared it, put on some paint cleaner (did that on the whole car while detailing it), then waxed it. The badges on the side, however, left a a lot of that sticky stuff behind. It took a little more work with my finger nail and some rubbing alcohol but eventually I got that stuff off and followed the same procedure that I did for the sides. You can't tell the badges were ever there. Looks much better IMO.
