Detroit Lockers

I have (and love) 08 T4R V6, 4lo/4hi/2wd, can loc dif but anyway I still got stuck(though it was a big mound of snow packed wet up to the lights). The rig who pulled me out -a huge liftd Expdtn said it'd be great if I could get a detroit locker as they TRULY lock whereas all others don't 100% lock. Said his dosent even lock.

Any feedback from you guys on this? Do our T4R really don't 100% lock? If yes or no, why?

From reading Detroit lockers are poplular front and rear on hard core off road rigs for their strength. Not saying I want to put one on just curious on everyones feedback.

hes talking about putting in a rear locker, its different than a center one, & as far as i know, only an ARB air locker will work in ur year, although ive heard theres an electric locker that might work with some modifications.

Considering our ATRAC I'd love to do as nship & shabaka did: truetrac, LSD, ATRAC, TRAC - Toyota 120 Platforms Forum
I agree that a locker or some type of rear diff would help but a stock T4R with ATRAC is pretty good.
