I calced out what mine would've cost in 1999 (2000 SR5 Extra Value Package #2 I believe). With the rear locker, keyless entry, and 5-speed, mine was close to $32k. Nuts!

I have a 98 5spd with factory locker with a rebuilt title, but mine didn't have any of the issues you mention. It had 177k on it when I bought it, it now has 195k 8 months later. I have had to do a bunch of work to it (rear wheel bearing, tie rods, steering rack bushings, sway bar links, etc), and have more to do (suspension, the rest of the bushings, etc) which I initially attributed to the rebuilt title. After spending a lot of time reading on here, I realized it's just normal stuff for a 180k+ plus truck, even a Toyota. Especially one that has been driven on tough offroad, which I have. Moab, Ouray, etc etc.

I'd personally pass for that price with all those issues.

Dang.... can't believe that ad has been up for 3 days. Looks like a great find for any area, but that's in Chicago??
