Yikes! This chaffing happened in just over a weeks time.

I installed the group 31 diehard about a week ago. I just received my order of stud to post converters this evening and found this wear.

Let this be a warning to y'all that don't have cable wraps / crossed wires etc. because it can happen quick

This is how the wires where oriented for the approximate week the diehard has been in. The plastic engine "beauty" cover is what wore through!

Problem fixed. Then used extra braid wrap on all the wiring. Installed stud converters, bent the stock terminals back into place and finished up the install.

Converters worked great.

Guys that are putting in the group 31 be careful w the wires near the batt tray. Looked to me like rubbing could occur. I wrapped them all with that braid wrap, zip yield some too.

Good news is there is more slack, if just enough, in the cables w this set up.

I finally figured out how to post pictures directly to this forum. Im dangerous now....
Although i couldnt get more than one pic in each post from ipad. Weird.

Got supplies from remy battery, another option is someone linked a diff place, solar something, in the pflertry-whatever group buy thread.
