diff lock problem

4 months ago i bought a 2000 4runner sr5 manual trans. to the left of the steering wheel i have a functional clutch start cancel button, but no rear diff lock button like on every other 3rd gen ive seen. is there a possibility that i actually have a rear diff lock but the panel was replaced for some reason whithout re-installing the diff lock button.

what im asking is there any other way to know if my runner has a factory diff lock without seeing the button on the dash.

No diff lock switch = No diff lock.

There are more 4Runners without the rear locker than with, its just a fluke that you've always seen 3rd gens with one.

If you want to be 200% sure, then crawl underneath your vehicle and look at the third member housing. If you have an e-locker then you will have an electric motor on the housing. Do a search if you want a pic, there are plenty around.
