difference between 06-09 headlights

Hi,
I have an 04 and want to upgrade to the projector style headlights.

I've seen a couple listings on Ebay that say w/sport pkg and some that say w/o sport package.

In regards to headlights, what was the difference?

Will I be able to use either on my 04?

Next question, I know I need to replace the trim piece under the headlight. Anyone know where to get something like that. or what that piece is called?

It is call a Bumper Filler. I just ordered mine from Rock Auto.

Left Filler Part# TO1088112
Right Filler# TO1089112

A sport headlamp would have a darker chrome surround as well

I own a 2004 also and I am wanting to do this change as well. So any advice or recommendations would be great. From my limited research it appears like the headlamp housings are slightly different in shape and therefore the trim under the headlamp may need to be modified or replaced or removed. Not sure what else would need to change. Possibly the center grille? Not sure but if you get it figured out I would love pictures and info. Thanks

ah, yes that's the difference. I see it now.

Now I'm trying to decide if like the normal chrome, or the smoked chrome.

Does anyone know if any sells the bumper fillers painted? I have a titanium 4Runner, be great to find them all ready painted.

Yes, I have a silver '05 & the silver (color code 1D4) bumper fillers match perfectly! The part numbers you will need are:

52512-35090-B0
52513-35090-B0

They aren't cheap, but to me they were worth it since I didn't have to worry about taking them somewhere to be painted. I ordered mine from toyotapartscenter, but you should be able to get them from any Toyota parts store.
