I've been wanting to do a lift for a while now. I thought I was settled on the 6112/5160 option, but just read that the 6112's are digressive. I understand this is good for controlling body roll, but I already have KDSS. I have no body roll. Don't I want a progressive shock?
I'm thinking of doing a smaller lift, probably 2". My primary use is for family camping to cool remote locations. We mostly do easy to moderate trails. Anywhere from a weekend trip to 2 weeks. With RTT, and full camp loadout, as well as 3 people, my truck is pretty squishy. I want to up the springs a notch as well.
My budget is limited, so I can't do a dream set-up. I was thinking of 5100's all the way around, but after you add springs, their about as much as 6112's, so I thought may I'd go with those, until I read about the regressive valving. I'm open to other suggestions as well. I understand at only 2", I won't need UCA's.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
