disable auto-lock

....which is why the factory remote start is dumb...I just started the truck and 5 seconds later when I get to the vehicle, I have to unlock it to get in but in doing so, the engine shuts off.

So why would I want the truck to run for like 5 seconds then shut off then I have to restart it to drive away--SO DUMB

anyone have issues where all doors lock and unlock randomly once out of park? My ‘08 limited randomly cycles all the locks, no matter what speed, as long as it’s out of park. Even tries to repeated lock or unlock over and over again, not just bounce between lock and unlock. Just got this vehicle 2 days ago and never did this on the test run. Sometime it goes long periods of time without any malfunctions. Googled like crazy and found nothing.

Anyone know how to physically disable the auto lock/unlock? I just picked up an ‘08 limited and the locks have started randomly actuating when the gear shift is out of park. Tried doing the sequence the manual states but still happens. Hoping there’s a wire I can cut that’ll still let me use the door lock buttons and key fob.

Not knowing the vehicle service history, but simply based on the age of the vehicle, I'd have a look at the BCM and/or door lock actuators. Easier things to check would be the vehicle battery and the remote battery.
