It really is a dealer thing. It's part of what Toyota calls Customizable Body Electronic Settings, or C-BEST. You need to have a Toyota OBD scan tool to change it.
Toyota seems to be getting away from C-BEST and they're moving more toward the really wacky sequences of turning the key on and off and hitting buttons. That would allow DIY changes. I would imagine that the next gen 4Runner will have more DIY settings.

two ideas:
1) open up the fob and physically mess with the button till it doesnt work
2) disconnect your battery then reconnect it. Youll have to "recalibrate" the sunroof and drivers side window for auto down. DONT recalibrate the rear window/roll it down all the way and you wont be able to roll it down from the remote.

dylanc you're a champ! Both of you ideas were good. I'm just to lazy to disconnect the battery and reset all those settings. That's why I went for your other idea to open up the fob and "mess with the button". Turns out I was able to just remove the visible outer button, there's a black gasket over the actual electronics so they are protected and it doesn't look bad. I'm hopeful that my problem is solved now that the button won't get pushed accidentally b/c it is recessed but I can still push it if I really want to. I just need to make sure I don't lose that tiny little button in case I ever want to put it back in.
