Disappointed in the 4runner Rims

Interesting to see how a lot of people are having issues.

We live in Snowy Canada so the ice, snow, sand and salt punishes the rims.

Add the Hammer on counterweights by Costco and I need them refinished.

Any suggestions for finishing for cold weather/rock/sand etc?

I wonder if it was more of the time period Toyota was making these wheels,my '99 Limited version clear coat is still in great shape even around the scuffs from off roading and everyday use and zero flaking. Since I've owned the truck (6 years now) I always have the weights put on the inside of the wheels since wheel weights ruin the appearance and why don't they just put the wieght on the inside as a regular practice anyway?
