Disconnecting Accelerator connector @ the Pedal.

I've searched everywhere including this site but Zero search terms or phrases come up with any real instructions on how to disconnect the plug/connector in order to install a throttle controller device. Ya decided to give that a try.

All I see is "Well after a while you'll figure it out" Just keep trying, you'll get it. or Yep I had a hard time with that but finally got it. or the best one me is ... Look, there's a tab you gotta push and when you do that is comes out like butter. No pics, No Vids.

I think I feel that tab. I think its right at the top of the assembly. It moves about 1/2mm.

I'm not finding any butter in this connection.

My Grocery Store sells spray Butter.
Do I need to make a run for this to happen?

BTW.. I'm goin back in with a different framework.

There’s a tab you push in on the connector. It’s tight on there though. You can try prying with a small flathead but be careful and don’t pull on the wire. There’s no real reason for a video. You can look at the male side of the “floor it with your foot for the same effect” box to see what the connector looks like.

It's just a stiff tab. Hafta push on that thing to get the connector to release.









After a while, you'll figure it out.

Well I figured out how to do it.
Step One: Have a stiff glass of whiskey on rocks.
That gets one loose enough to get both hands on the sucker.

From there squeeze hard and out she comes.

Wish I saw that photo before. But I did put a mirror on it to verify what I thought I felt.

I also had to use one of those flat rubber discs that you use to open jars in the kitchen, gave me a lil more grip.

I found it easier to unbolt the pedal from the floor and pull it out so I could see the damn thing. Once the pedal was loose it was ez pezy. I also shaved off the damn plastic piece from the side hump panel to make it easier to get in and out.

I had the same issue. I spent nearly a half an hour, grunting and cursing trying to get the stupid tan off. I ended up taking out the assembly off. Waaaay easier.
