I gotta say, it was worth every penny. The wheel is a big improvement over the stock SR5 wheel in that I feel the grip of the wheel is so much better. You feel like your connection to the car is better.

I do have a VERY slight rub, but the mechanic guy said he wouldn't put in a washer because it might cause the clock spring to think the airbag should go off if it is too far spaced. *shrug*

Anyway, great mod. Very great mod. Might need a sticky. Mods?

Do you mind telling me where you purchased the steering wheel?
 
So how's everyone's wheel holding up? (wear, tear, etc).

Mine: Still good, no signs of wear or scratches on the finish. Love this wheel!

Looks like The SRS light came on, or so I think. It's the light that looks like a man sitting down with a balloon in his face. Suggestions?

Before you installed everything, did you unplug the battery? If not, I dunno, unplug it now to reset everything. I'd try that.

Giz: The big question: Does the "wood" match the "wood" trim of your console and door cards? It looked like it would, which is what sparked my interest.
 
You should ALWAYS unplug your battery for at least 30-minutes prior to taking off the steering wheel due to the airbag, plus it helps reset everything.

I have changed the steering wheels on my SupraTT and ZO6 and plan on getting this one for the runner.

Looks like a nice piece for under $200.
 
Gents,

The first thing I did was disconnect the battery before I touched anything, can't figure out why the SRS light is on. I have my ScanGauge connected but it's not throwing any codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
I've got wood!

Just installed mine. 27 minutes from start to finish (not including letting the battery sit disconnected for 30 min).

I went with the non perf as it was cheaper and I didn't care either way.

No rubbing, no SRS light, didn't even have to trim any foam for the rear cover to clip on. All in all a super easy install!
