Wish me luck as I head to the local revenue office to register my new purchase. I can almost guarantee that there will be at least one thing they want that I don't have! Sometimes I think it all depends on what mood the clerks are in, as to how much hassle they give you.
When I bought mine from CarMax, within the next week I got my tags (transferred them from my old Highlander) I went it, waited a few minutes, told them what I was doing, gave them $5 and was on my way.
Renewing it was a different story. :banghead:
I was registering the Runner, paying the sales tax, transferring my plates from the Jeep to the Runner, and renewing my wife's plates. Too many ways for something to be missing. I didn't get there until about 10 am, there were only five people ahead of me, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes with no hassles! Next year I can do it all on line.
Went yesterday to swap my plates for a low number plate from my parents estate. I baffled the guy with so much probate paperwork that he finally just printed me a new registration and told me to leave :boink: :lmao:
Although I did have to wait for an hour before being waited on :redbrick:
